App-listed location labels
City names describe labels in the app's catalogue. Some profiles use virtual locations. Check the exit country with more than one IP lookup if the country matters for your task.
No app registration
An email account is not required to connect in the app. Device identifiers still help restore balances, manage rewards and prevent abuse; no registration does not mean no data processing.
Understand the privacy settings
The app processes device identifiers, time and referral records, connection diagnostics and support information to operate the service. Advertising and Firebase services have their own data practices. Read the Privacy Policy and use the app's advertising privacy controls.
Check in the app
The app provides a daily VPN allowance. Optional rewarded videos, referrals and eligible in-app rewards can add time. Check your balance and the current reward terms in the app; installing it does not automatically give unlimited connection time.

Check current locations
Locations, providers and profiles can change. Use the latest list in the app. A listed location is not a promise that a profile will connect on every network or that every website will accept its exit IP.
Choose a suitable connection
Speed and connection time depend on your network, server load and the route. Test a nearby location for everyday browsing. If traffic does not work, disconnect and try another listed profile.
OpenVPN connections
The current app uses OpenVPN. Encryption and connection options depend on the selected server profile. The app does not currently offer WireGuard or IKEv2.

Test your destination website
Streaming services and other websites can restrict VPN exits. A successful VPN connection does not guarantee access to a particular service, catalogue or account. Follow the website's rules and check access yourself.
Install and update FreeAndroidVPN
After connecting, open the IP-check tool and confirm that pages load. IP-geolocation databases can disagree about countries and cities. A city label alone does not prove where a server is physically hosted.
1
Install the official app
Check Android compatibility and install from Google Play or the official download page. Open the app and review any system VPN permission prompt.
2
Choose and connect
Open the server list and choose a listed profile. Wait for the connection result, then try loading a normal HTTPS website.
3
Verify the result
Check the exit IP and country. If the result is wrong or traffic stops, try another profile and repeat the check. A connected status alone is not proof of working internet traffic.

Mauritania VPN for Android
Current catalogue snapshot
The catalogue snapshot includes 1 enabled profiles labelled Mauritania. Listed cities: Nouakchott. These are app labels, not an independent verification of physical hosting or successful traffic.
Check the exit IP
Mauritania has repeatedly restricted connectivity: mobile internet was cut for days during the March 2023 unrest, and the country has also throttled or suspended data during national exams — a pattern documented across the Sahel. Data-protection law is thin, and Mauritel, Mattel and Chinguitel operate under broad state oversight. For Mauritanian users, encrypted tunnelling is the standard means of maintaining reliable access.
App-listed location labels
Mauritania has a growing digital landscape with unique local content:
- Check Android compatibility and install from Google Play or the official download page. Open the app and review any system VPN permission prompt.
- Open the server list and choose a listed profile. Wait for the connection result, then try loading a normal HTTPS website.
- Check the exit IP and country. If the result is wrong or traffic stops, try another profile and repeat the check. A connected status alone is not proof of working internet traffic.
- After connecting, open the IP-check tool and confirm that pages load. IP-geolocation databases can disagree about countries and cities. A city label alone does not prove where a server is physically hosted.
- If the app says connected but websites do not load, try another site, disconnect and reconnect, and choose another listed profile. Check Wi-Fi or mobile data without the VPN. If the problem continues, send a support report with the server label and app version; do not include passwords.
Connection troubleshooting
Les Mourabitounes transformed Mauritanian football by qualifying for the country's first Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 and returning in 2021 and 2023 — a genuine national milestone for a side that had never previously reached the finals. The domestic Ligue 1 Mauritanie is broadcast by El Mouritaniya with no international distribution, so a Mauritanian IP is the only route to live home coverage.
Check current locations
Follow Ligue 1 and Les Mourabitounes on El Mouritaniya with a Mauritanian IP. AFCON aside, overseas coverage is nonexistent.
Choose a suitable connection
The Chinguetti libraries and Banc d'Arguin bird reserve are UNESCO sites; local operator listings are usually hosted domestically.
OpenVPN connections
BMCI, BNM and Banque Populaire portals may block foreign logins. A Nouakchott server keeps banking reachable while abroad.
Daily VPN time
Our Nouakchott server connects through the ACE submarine cable landing on the Atlantic coast, Mauritania's principal link to Europe and West Africa. That provides low latency to Mauritanian banking and government portals and efficient routing to Senegal, Morocco and France, where much of the diaspora and commercial traffic is concentrated.
Understand the privacy settings
Paid VPNs charge $8-12/month for Mauritanian servers. FreeAndroidVPN provides identical access to all Mauritanian content completely free. Our Nouakchott server delivers the same streaming, privacy protection, and banking access as premium competitors.
